Date Drop is for respectful adults who want thoughtful dates and friendships, not spam, stalking, harassment, or games.
If you make people feel unsafe, misuse their information, or break these rules, we can remove content, suspend your account, or ban you from the platform.
Using Date Drop also means accepting that matches, replies, chemistry, and in-person outcomes are never guaranteed. Use good judgment online and offline.
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of Date Drop, which is operated by The Relationship Company, a public benefit corporation.
By creating an account, accessing, or using Date Drop, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Date Drop.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Date Drop after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
If you stop meeting these requirements, your right to use Date Drop ends immediately.
Date Drop is a weekly matching service for dates and, at some schools, friendships. You complete a profile, answer questions, and opt in when you want to be considered for a match.
To operate the service, we may share parts of your profile and matching information with a selected match, including your name, photos, profile details, and contact information needed to help you connect.
We do not guarantee that you will receive a match in any given week, or at all. We also do not guarantee that any match will respond, be compatible with you, or lead to a friendship, date, relationship, or any particular outcome.
We may add, remove, pause, or change features at any time, including matching formats, onboarding questions, school eligibility, and communication methods.
Date Drop only works if people treat each other with respect. You may not use Date Drop to harm, pressure, deceive, or exploit anyone.
These rules apply to conduct on Date Drop and to off-platform conduct that affects the safety of our community or the integrity of the service.
We may investigate reports, review content, and take action if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for another person, exposed Date Drop to legal or reputational harm, or otherwise misused the service.
We may take these actions with or without prior notice where we believe immediate action is appropriate. We may also choose not to share the specific details behind a moderation decision if doing so could compromise another person's privacy or safety, or the integrity of our review process.
If we believe there is an immediate threat of harm or a legal obligation to do so, we may preserve or disclose information consistent with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
You keep ownership of the content and information you submit to Date Drop, including photos, profile responses, questionnaire answers, and feedback.
You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, process, and use that content only as needed to operate, improve, personalize, moderate, research, and protect Date Drop, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that doing so does not violate anyone else's rights or these Terms.
If you send us suggestions or product feedback, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how you can exercise your choices. By using Date Drop, you acknowledge that policy.
You agree that we may send you service-related emails, texts, and other operational messages needed to run Date Drop, including onboarding steps, match notifications, reminders, safety notices, and account updates.
If these Terms conflict with the Privacy Policy on how we handle personal data, the Privacy Policy controls.
Date Drop is intended to help people meet, but we cannot guarantee the identity, honesty, intentions, compatibility, or conduct of any user. School email verification reduces risk, but it does not eliminate it.
You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, whether on Date Drop, over text or email, or in person. Use caution, meet in public when appropriate, and stop engaging if something feels off. If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services or campus safety.
Date Drop is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Date Drop and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, profits, relationships, opportunities, or reputation arising out of or related to your use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Date Drop will not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You may stop using Date Drop at any time. You may also delete your account using the in-product account deletion flow.
We may suspend or end access to Date Drop, in whole or in part, at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including sections on safety, moderation, content rights, disclaimers, and limitation of liability.
If you have a problem with Date Drop, contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally.
Nothing in these Terms waives rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
